Hensley Lewis Gibson, Member of the first Tribal Council

In a feature article in the 1999 Choctaw Indian Fair program Mr. Hensley Gibson, the Choctaw Fair’s first coordinator reflected up on the humble beginnings of the fair.  This cherished tribal event originated back in 1949 as a festival primarily for the MS Choctaw communities.
